| Indiana State Department Health does advisories by group. Groups are numbered 1 to 5 where 1 is unrestricted consumption except for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, women who plan to have children, and children under the age of 15 an group 5 is NO consumption for anyone. Group 5 waterways are here. It takes a bit more effort to find out what contaminants are where. Charles Santerre, associate professor of foods and nutrition

Information related to existing problems, successful cleanups and improvements, and usage of aquatic organisms is always welcome. Fishing and bait camps, as well as others, willing and able to answer questions about local conditions will gladly be provided with space on or links from this site. |
