As a general rule of thumb, IOWA FISH ARE SAFE TO EAT! The exceptions are No fish taken from Cedar Lake in Cedar Rapids should be eaten and no channel catfish caught from the Ottumwa Lagoons in Ottumwa should be eaten.

So far, modest Web Albums are active only in Louisiana and Texas. Check them out.

Our staff is small but always interested in information related to our goals. Information related to existing problems, successful cleanups and improvements, and usage of aquatic organisms is always welcome. Fishing and bait camps, as well as others, willing and able to answer questions about local conditions will gladly be provided with space on or links from this site.
