FishingLink.Org was established to foster the distribution and exchange of information between governmental institutions, educational organizations, businesses and individuals having interest in the edibility of aquatic resources. This site, administered by FishingLink, Inc., is developing into a successful joint venture to effectively meet that goal. Through FishingLink, Inc, those entities will be provided timely information aiding in the process of making informed decisions. Decisions to help protect interests pertaining to the edibility of aquatic organisms.

Colorado has and active citizens advisory board working with toxic pathways.

Colorado Fishing Advisories and Public Announcements

Mercury content of fish already exceeded EPA advisory levels in five state reservoirs and may be increased by wildfires. "...large fires may result in an increase in the mercury content of game fish." Full article here.

Web Album photos for each state are needed. Any related photos and information presented will be considered. Submissions can be E-mailed to the grasm@fishinglink.org or posted elsewhere for consideration.

So far, modest Web Albums are active only in Louisiana and Texas. Check them out.

Information

Our staff is small but always interested in information related to our goals. Information related to existing problems, successful cleanups and improvements, and usage of aquatic organisms is always welcome. Fishing and bait camps, as well as others, willing and able to answer questions about local conditions will gladly be provided with space on or links from this site.
